Almería head coach Gaizka Garitano has this evening made clear his frustration with his players, in particular Largie Ramazani.
Almería, for their part, are fresh off the club’s latest La Liga outing.
Still searching for a first three-point haul of the campaign, the Indálicos welcomed Athletic Club to the Power Horse Stadium on Monday night.
When all was said and done in a competitive affair, however, once more, Almería’s efforts came up short.
This came as the two sides cancelled each other out, en route to an eventual 0-0 stalemate.
Almería, as a result, remain dead bottom of the Spanish top-flight, a full 13 points from safety and looking near-certainties for the drop.
And, post-match on Monday, headmaster Gaizka Garitano made use of the opportunity to point to his side’s endeavours against Athletic as the perfect example as to why.
Early in the 2nd-half in proceedings, Largie Ramazani was sent for an early bath, owing to a completely needless 2nd yellow card.
And Garitano highlighted such ‘childishness’ as being an absolutely central factor in Almería’s struggles all season long.
“We are last because we make these types of childish mistakes,” the tactician began, as cited by Mundo Deportivo. “They are very young players who have good things, but for one thing we are last. In every game we have one of these. Even today we have could have won.”
