Bild reports that Almamy Touré will leave Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer when his contract expires.
A decision was reached from Frankfurt not to extend the contract of Touré’s after sporting director Markus Krösche could not come to an agreement with the defender and his advisors. The 26-year-old currently earns €1.6 million a year, but was demanding €2 million a year including bonuses.
Touré joined Frankfurt in 2019 from Monaco for €750k making 77 appearances and even playing a key role in Frankfurt’s Europa League final win against Rangers playing the whole 120 minutes. However, this season he has only played five times, his last appearance was a three minute cameo against Hoffenheim back in November and he has spent the rest of his time either not in the squad or on the bench.
The 26-year-old is not the only centre-back who could leave Frankfurt in the summer with Evan Ndicka also expected to leave on a free transfer.
