Alexis Sanchez is now a free agent and his contract at Inter has now been terminated.
Sanchez’s future has been uncertain at the Nerazzurri for a while now, with the Chilean star being heavily linked with a move to Ligue 1 club Marseille. Villarreal were also interested in the former Arsenal man but the move did not materialise for the winger.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Sanchez’s contract at Inter has now been terminated, with the player now free to potentially join Marseille.
Sanchez spent three seasons at Inter, as he arrived initially on a loan deal from Manchester United, who terminated his contract later and the player joined the Nerazzurri for free.
The 33-year-old made 27 appearances last season for the Nerazzurri, as he scored five goals for the club and racked up three assists as well. During his Inter stint, Sanchez scored 20 goals for the club.
