Alexander Blessin has been tipped to replace Bruno Labbadia at VfB Stuttgart should he face the sack, according to Kicker.
Stuttgart suffered yet another defeat under the leadership of Labbadia last weekend when Union brushed them aside winning 3-0. The defeat as well as other results mean Stuttgart sit rock bottom of the Bundesliga and five points off safety.
As per the report, rumours are circulating that Labbadia’s job is already at risk and suitors are being named. One of those people is Alexander Blessin, most recently of Genoa C.F.C.
The 49-year-old previously played for Stuttgart as well as Stuttgart Kickers and knows the city well. Blessin was relieved of his duties at Genoa in December 2022 and has been on the lookout for a new role since.
Under Labbadia, Stuttgart have won just one Bundesliga game since taking over last December.
