Eintracht Frankfurt have reportedly found the man to replace Dino Toppmöller, who was sacked as head coach earlier this month.
According to Bild, the new coach will be Albert Riera, who was already named the favourite on Tuesday.
The German tabloid reports that a full agreement is in place, with Eintracht and Riera’s current club, Slovenian side NK Celje, having settled on a transfer fee of €1.3 million.
The only real question now is when Riera, who is set to sign a contract until 2028, will begin his new role.
According to Kicker, Eintracht would like to have him on the bench for Saturday’s important Bundesliga match against Bayer Leverkusen.
