Santi Aouna reports that Al-Nassr are intensifying their efforts to sign Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae with the Saudi club working on reaching an agreement with the player’s entourage.
Kim – who joined Bayern Munich from Napoli for €50m in July 2023 – has a contract with the Rekordmeister until 2028 but has often struggled since his arrival from Italy but for large parts of last season played through injury. The South Korean defender made 43 appearances across all competitions last season under Vincent Kompany and will travel with the squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the USA.
Aouna adds that Kim is open to a move to Saudi Arabia and would welcome a new challenge, while the move would be financially rewarding. But in addition to Al-Nassr, Liverpool, Milan, Chelsea, Juventus and Newcastle United have all shown interest in signing the 28-year-old, while PSG’s Luis Campos also met with representatives of Kim two weeks ago.
What’s more, Bayern Munich appear willing to allow Kim to leave for around €30m, significantly less than the €50m fee they splashed out to sign the central defender two weeks ago.
