The German FA and VfB Stuttgart have both confirmed that 26-year-old attacker Chris Führich will be sidelined for two to three weeks with a muscle fiber tear.
The injury incurred by VfB Stuttgart attacker Chris Führich in Germany’s Nations’ League win over Bosnia & Herzegovina last night will keep the 26-year-old out of action for two to three weeks. Führich will thus be unavailable to face Bayern in the league next week and will likely also miss out on Stuttgart’s league fixture against Kiel at the end of the month.
Führich’s muscle fiber tear probably means little on a club level as the seven-times-capped international has essentially lost his starting place at Stuttgart to fellow DFB call up Jamie Leweling. In terms of the German national team, Führich’s unavailability for Monday’s Nations League fixture against Holland might well lead to DFB debutant Leweling earning his first cap.
