Sky Germany reports that AC Milan have a concrete interest in Borussia Dortmund striker Niclas Füllkrug as his future at the club becomes more uncertain.
Initial talks between Füllkrug and Milan have taken place, but that is as far as they have gone at the moment. The 31 year old is not the only target for the Italian side as they look to add another striker to their ranks after signing Alvaro Morata.
The other striker that Milan are interested in is former Chelsea and current Roma striker Tammy Abraham.
Füllkrug’s future at Dortmund may be in doubt as the club looks to complete the signing of VfB Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy. When the Guinean eventually joins, Dortmund will then have four senior strikers including Sebastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko, one of these players would have to likely leave. It was previously reported that new head coach Nuri Sahin wants to use two strikers with Dortmund next season.
In his first season with Dortmund, Füllkrug scored 15 times and assisted 11 as they reached the Champions League final. The 31 year old also played a key role as a substitute for Germany this summer as they reached the quarter-finals of EURO 2024.
