L’Équipe are reporting that Welsh international Aaron Ramsey (32) is set to trigger a one-year contract extension at Ligue 1 side OGC Nice.
The French publication has revealed that Ramsey is currently earning €100,000 per month at Les Aiglons, but that a set of bonuses allows him to earn comfortably over €200,000, making him one of the top earners at the club. Many of those bonuses are linked to appearances, which have begun to accumulate, especially since the arrival of Didier Digard in January.
The former Middlesborough midfielder is clearly a fan of Ramsey, who has been a regular starter in the Nice midfield, and who has been one of the most consistent performers in an improving team. The former Arsenal and Juventus midfielder was coy about his future when questioned in February. However, L’Équipe reveal that he is now set to trigger a one-year contract extension at Nice, which is linked to his number of appearances.
Ramsey has appeared 27 times for Le Gym this season in all competitions. During that time, he has scored once and registered two assists.
