Atalanta star Charles De Ketelaere has provided an insight into some of the feelings invoked by his side’s downing of Milan earlier today.
The headline fixture of the day in Italy’s top-flight, of course, saw European football-hunting Atalanta and Milan go head-to-head in Bergamo.
It proved a particularly noteworthy occasion for the aforementioned De Ketelaere, with the Belgian currently lining out for the former, on loan from the latter after enduring a difficult spell at the Rossoneri.
And he went on to play an important role in Atalanta’s eventual triumph, laying on Ademola Lookman’s 2nd of the night, en route to a last-gasp 3-2 victory.
Speaking to the media post-match, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of putting his parent side to the sword was put to De Ketelaere.
And the 22-year-old, as cited by Gianluca Di Marzio, went on to admit that the result had a ‘different flavour’ to others.
“All wins have a special feeling, as it is not easy to win in Serie A. But yes, I admit this win has a different flavour to it.“
