Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has been ruled out of action due to a meniscus injury.
Pogba rejoined Juve on a free transfer earlier this summer, following his contract expiry at Manchester United. While he did travel to the Juve squad for the pre-season friendlies in the US, his return to the Old Lady has suffered a bump.
Juventus have now confirmed the injury in an official statement, stating that the Frenchman felt pain in his right knee and he underwent tests. The tests revealed a lesion on his lateral meniscus and in the few hours, he will undergo specialist orthopedic consultation.
As a result, Pogba will not travel to Dallas with the rest of the squad. This comes after the midfielder had picked up a knock during a training session with the Bianconeri and left the session early. While the issue didn’t seem to have aggravated initially, it does appear as though Pogba will be out for some time.
