FC Bayern München now appear in pole position to acquire the French defender. A swap deal involving Alphonso Davies could be in the offing.
After making contact with his agents in late February, it is now being reported that AC Milan fullback Théo Hernandez has been convinced by the Bayern front office to move to Bavaria. This is reported by Spanish sports daily “Mundo Deportivo”, which writes that Bayern and AC Milan might even consider a swap deal involving disaffected left-back Alphonso Davies.
Hernandez currently maintains an estimated market worth of €60 million in the latest transfermarkt update. Davies – once considered worth €80 million – has now sunk down to parity with Hernandez amid form issues and complaints about how Bayern proceeded with his development. Both clubs have had great difficulty getting their respective players to extend their current contracts.
If the report proves true, matters could move quickly.
