Both Bayern Munich and Stuttgart have secured Champions League football for next season and so there’s very little to play for here, which should see the Rekordmeister making several changes ahead of their Champions League game against Real Madrid in midweek.
Matthijs de Ligt suffered a knee injury in last weekend’s Bundesliga clash against Eintracht Frankfurt and didn’t make the squad against Real. Kim Min-jae started on Tuesday but was at fault for both of Madrid’s goals, meaning we could see a return to the starting lineup for Dayot Upamecano alongside Eric Dier.
Alphonso Davies is also expected to return and could start ahead of Noussair Mazraoui, who has started at left-back in their last two fixtures while Konrad Laimer – who played his best game against Real – could be given a rest, with Aleksandar Pavlovic starting ahead of the Austrian.
With Leroy Sané out, Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala could also be given a rest, meaning starts for Mathys Tel and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.
Predicted Bayern Munich XI vs Stuttgart
Manuel Neuer – Joshua Kimmich, Dayot Upamecano, Eric Dier, Alphonso Davies – Aleksandar Pavlovic, Leon Goretzka – Mathys Tel, Thomas Müller, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting – Harry Kane. (Kicker)
