Key Manchester City defender could follow Riyad Mahrez to the Saudi Pro League this summer

Manchester City star Kyle Walker is reportedly considering a move to Saudi Arabia.

The 33-year-old has been a key member of Pep Guardiola’s side over the years, lifting five Premier League trophies as well as the Champions League last year.

But the England international could bring his association with City to an end this summer by opting to join the Saudi Pro League.

The Sun report Walker has sought advice from his former teammate Riyad Mahrez about relocating to the Middle East.

Mahrez left the Manchester giants last year to join Al-Ahli in a big-money move.

The Algerian reportedly earns £45 million per year at the Saudi outfit and Walker could also make a similar sum if he decides to play in the Pro League.

The experienced right-back is said to be very happy at City but he wants to keep all his options open ahead of the summer transfer window.

Losing Walker would be a big blow for the Citizens as he has been one of the most important members of Pep Guardiola’s team this season.

He has made over 40 appearances across all competitions this campaign, with five assists to his name.

The 33-year-old arrived at the Etihad Stadium in 2017 from Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth around £50 million.

Since then, he has made 296 appearances across all competitions, with six goals and 23 assists to his name.
