It appears as two more potential candidates linked with FC Bayern München’s vacant head-coaching position are out of the running.
FC Bayern München’s interest in potentially bringing in Italian trainer Roberto de Zerbi to serve as a head-coach next season will lead nowhere. The current Brighton & Hove Albion head-coach – speaking to Sky Sports News on Friday evening – gave every indication that he wished to remain in the south of England. De Zerbi specifically stated that he loved “the city, the club, my players, and the fans.”
Sky brought another name into the mix for the FCB job on Friday, yet also reported that Bayern enquires would not yield anything. Former Spanish national team and Wolverhampton Wanderers head-coach Julen Lopetegui – despite some interest from Bayern – will be signing on with West Ham United to replace David Moyes. Lopetegui will thus soon join Unai Emery as the second Spaniard to resist the pull of the German giants.
