Bild reports that Borussia Dortmund have thrown their hat into the ring when it comes to trying to sign VfB Stuttgart striker Sehrou Guirassy.
The 28-year-old has a release clause that is valued at €20m and has attracted interest from several teams from England and around Europe as well as Bayern Munich. Now Dortmund are looking for another striker to compete with Niclas Füllkrug for the number nine position at the club and Guirassy is their number one target.
However, Guirassy will now face a choice. Does he move abroad, does he move to a Bundesliga rival or does he stay at Stuttgart, the team that he helped qualify for the Champions League.
This season has been the best of Guirassy’s career, he currently has 27 goals in 27 games and is second behind Harry Kane in the Bundesliga goalscoring charts with 25 goals and there is no guarantee that he will be able to replicate this form elsewhere as it is unlikely he will be the centre of attack as he is at the MHP Arena.
While for Dortmund this likely means that one of or if not both Sebastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko will likely depart the club in the summer.
