Bild reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus could leave the club if head coach Gerardo Seoane stays.
The Swiss coach no longer sees a place for a player like Neuhaus in his side and this has seen the 27-year-old sit on the bench for three games straight now and has not favoured the midfielder for the majority of the season.
This has resulted in the scenario that if Seoane stays on as coach beyond this summer, Neuhaus could possibly look to leave Gladbach, despite only extending his contract until 2027 at the beginning of this season, and also being promoted to a crucial leadership role.
There is no release clause in Neuhaus’ contract and he is currently valued at €9m by transfermarkt, a long way off the previous hype and promise that surrounded him just under four years ago. In the winter, Neuhaus was linked with a move away due to his lack of playing time.
Despite the public support for head coach Seoane from sporting director Roland Virkus, Gladbach’s draw with Union Berlin at the weekend and a tough run of fixtures against Werder Bremen, Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart to finish the season means they are still not safe from relegation.
