According to Bild, Patrik Schick’s new Bayer Leverkusen contract does not contain a release clause.
The 26-year-old today signed a contract extension with B04 until 2027.
Schick was considered as a potential successor to Robert Lewandowski at Bayern Munich and should a potential suitor want to purchase the Czech Republic international, Bayer Leverkusen can command a transfer fee of their choosing.
“Patrik Schick played a fantastic season and demonstrated absolute world class in his position. There are only a few centre forwards of his stature internationally,” said B04 sporting director Simon Rolfes.
Schick scored 24 goals in 27 Bundesliga games for Die Werkself this season.
