Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares is now close to sealing a loan move to Serie A side Atalanta.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that the deal is edging closer and closer for a summer loan move, with La Dea now pushing for a completion as soon as they can.
It is set to be a dry loan deal with no option or obligation to buy next summer, as things stand. Parties are doing the neccessary work to close the final details of the move. Atalanta sporting director Lee Congerton is handling the move.
Previously, it was reported that La Dea are interested in the ex-Benfica player but Arsenal had put up a lofty price tag on the player and that made sure that Atalanta backed away quickly. But now, it seems as if a compromise has been reached and a move is very close. Tavares joined Arsenal last summer but has failed to impress too much.
