Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche has confirmed interest from Serie A champions Milan in French defender Evan Ndicka (22).
When asked by Kicker, Krösche said: “We know about the interest. There is no offer so far.”
Ndicka has less than one-year remaining on his current deal and Eintracht Frankfurt would be willing to sell should they receive a suitable offer. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan made an enquiry about SGE’s Ndicka but also hold interest in Tottenham Hotspur duo Pape Matar Sarr and Japhet Tanganga.
Speaking in June, Krösche told Sport Bild that if players don’t sign a contract extension, then they would be open to potential sales as to avoid losing the player on a free transfer: “It’s part of our philosophy that we give players away when the financial conditions are right, even if it hurts to lose important players and people.”
A figure of around €20m for Ndicka has been recently reported, with Premier League side Newcastle United showing a previous interest in the French defender.
