Liverpool offer Sporting’s Rúben Amorim 3-year contract to succeed Jürgen Klopp

According to Santi Aouna, Rúben Amorim has been offered a three-year contract to become the next Liverpool manager as talks continue between the club and the player’s agent.

Liverpool are keen to reach an agreement for the Sporting manager as soon as possible with Jürgen Klopp set to leave the role at the end of the season. The talks currently between them and the Portuguese manager have been positive although there are still small details that are yet to be fully resolved.

Amorim has not wanted to discuss the matter publicly since the news broke that he had become the Premier League side’s number one target. He remains focused on the job at hand in Portugal, where his Sporting side top the table by a four-point margin.

Rúben Amorim: Liverpool’s new prime target

The Portuguese manager has been revolutionary for the club since joining them in 2020 and ended the side’s 19-year wait for a league title in the 2020-21 season, and while he was not the first choice, with Xabi Alonso largely thought to be the number one target at the start of the search, he will be an exciting acquisition for a team to looking to succeed Klopp.
