Xavi’s brother Oscar maintains remarkable record as Barcelona scrape past Cádiz

Barcelona’s latest victory on Saturday evening saw assistant manager Oscar Hernández maintain a head-turning record.

Barca, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago.

Turning attentions back towards matters on the domestic front in the midst of a week which will see their European fate for the season confirmed, the Blaugrana made the trip to Andalusia, for a La Liga meeting with Cádiz.

After Real Madrid opened their advantage atop the Spanish top-flight to a hefty 11 points earlier in the day, Barcelona headed into proceedings tonight aware that nothing but a victory would suffice.

And, when all was said and done, march on to all three points is precisely what the Catalans managed.

With Xavi sitting out the 2nd of a two-game ban this evening, brother and assistant coach Oscar was tasked with taking up the managerial reins at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla.

And tonight, Oscar kept alive his flawless record, making it a remarkable seven wins from seven.
