Manchester United join Dortmund in race for Raum

It was long rumored that Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich were the only realistic destinations for David Raum’s services in Germany. However, seemingly out of nowhere, RB Leipzig are set to sign the left-back in a stunning twist. The cost for the German international is currently unclear, although Hoffenheim were looking for a fee in the range of €30 to €40 million.

Raum moved to Hoffenheim on a free transfer from Fürth last summer and has excelled ever since. Only 6 months into his time at the club, a contract extension was signed through 2026. Raum totaled 3 goals and 13 assists for Hoffenheim, as he became one of the most dangerous crossers in the league.

The 24-year-old would join Angeliño at the left-back position for RB Leipzig.
