A highly-regarded up-and-coming member of the youth ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is ready to bring a close to his stint with the club.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Sunday provided an insight into developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
The player ready to bid farewell to Barca with a view to next season?
Dani Rodríguez.
Rodríguez, for his part, is an 18-year-old attacker, who generally operates on the left wing.
The Spaniard, who was called up to Xavi’s senior squad last season, has amassed six appearances for Barça Atlètic across the term to date.
It was his form in the UEFA Youth League, though, which really caught the eye, Rodríguez’s four goals and three assists turning heads across Spain and Europe alike.
And, as alluded to above, one such club look set to lure the starlet away from Barcelona this summer.
Rodríguez’s current terms in Catalunya are due to come to a close in June, with renewal talks, to date, having failed to bear fruit.
As per the aforementioned Sport, those in the boardroom at the Camp Nou suspect that as much comes owing to the fact that ‘the footballer has received a proposal from Athletic Club and Barça suspects that he has already accepted it’.
