Gladbach’s French connection fashion victory over Wolfsburg

Bundesliga Matchday 28 concluded with the visit of Borussia Mönchengladbach to VfL Wolfsburg this afternoon, where Gerardo Seoane’s side came from behind to win 3-1.

The scoreboard swiftly favoured the visitors at 2-1 in the 59th minute. Gladbach’s stylish French connection of Honorat and Ngoumou combined, as the latter guided to the net with an instep finish.

Chances fell the way of both teams as the game entered it’s twilight. Robin Hack rose highest in the box only for the crossbar to come to Wolfsburg’s rescue. At the other end, Joakim Mæhle attempted the spectacular with an acrobatic bicycle kick that faded left and wide. Ralph Hasenhüttl’s outfit lay consigned to defeat when Gladbach substitutes Čvančara fed Reitz whose cultured finish beat Pervan at the near post to cement a 3-1 victory.
