Swiss newspaper “Blick” reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach keeper Yann Sommer has broken off all contract negotiations with OGC Nice.
Patrick Berger of German broadcaster “Sport1” confirms the report and further claims that the Swiss net minder is now focused on signing a contract extension with his current club.

Yann Sommer’s reported upon reunion with former head-coach Lucien Favre should be firmly off the table now, if two reliable sources are to be believed. The “Blick” newspaper in Sommer’s native Switzerland cites internal sources close to the 33-year-old’s managerial team to claim that national team keeper has no interest in transferring to OGC Nice in Ligue 1.
Sommer will instead now focus on signing a contract extension with his current club. The veteran’s current working papers with Gladbach are set to expire at the end of the 2022/23 campaign. Patrick Berger of German broadcaster Sport1–a source whom had always doubted the initial reports appearing in L’Équipe–corroborates the reports emerging from Switzerland.
⚫️🟢 @SPORT1 https://t.co/o7JeX09IYm
