Barcelona have tonight confirmed the arrival of Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich for a reported €50m including bonuses, the 33-year-old has signed a three-year contract until 2026.
Both clubs announced that they had reached an agreement last week following lengthy negotiations. Lewandowski completed his Barcelona medical on Monday before the Catalan club made it official on Tuesday.
The Poland international spent eight years at Bayern Munich, joining the club on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2014. During his time at Bayern, Lewandowski has won eight Bundesliga titles, three DFB Pokals, one Champions League, a Club World Cup and the UEFA Player of the Year.
During his time in Germany, Lewandowski was the top scorer on seven occasions (one with Borussia Dortmund, six times with Bayern) – he also won two Bundesliga titles at BVB.
Lewandowski also broke Gerd Müller’s of 40 goals in the 1971/72 season, scoring his 41st Bundesliga goal of the season on the final day against Augsburg during the 2020/21 campaign.
