Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan has managed to avoid any serious issues after he picked up a knee injury in the Europa League yesterday.
The Frenchman was taken off by the Rossoneri early in the game against Slavia Prague in the Round of 16 second leg of the Europa League. Marco Sportiello was brought in for him as the Rossoneri cruised to a comfortable win on the day and on aggregate.
Antonio Vitiello has reported about the situation of Maignan and his injury, saying that Maignan has only suffered a contusion of the knee amidst talk of a ligament damage. But the issue isn’t serious at all and that is something manager Stefano Pioli had also confirmed at the end of the game.
The Frenchman might yet miss the next game – as it was previously reported yesterday, but his long-term fitness is in no doubt whatsoever. The Rossoneri have been drawn against Roma for the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
