Serie A giants Lazio are now set to appoint former Verona and Marseille boss Igor Tudor as their next manager.
Maurizio Sarri has now resigned from the Roman outfit and Giovanni Martusciello has taken temporary charge. But the club had held talks for Tudor today and it seems as if definite progress has been made.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Lazio’s next manager will indeed be Tudor. An agreement between the two parties has been reached and the ex-Marseille boss will sign a one and a half-year contract. Further and final details of the agreement will be sorted out after the club’s upcoming game against Frosinone, where Martusciello will be in-charge.
A meeting took place earlier today and Lazio CEO Claudio Lotito was present in it and decisive movement was made, when it comes to the attempt to find an agreement. Instead of waiting till the end of the season, Tudor will take over as boss soon, but it will only happen after the upcoming game in the Serie A.
