Sky Germany reports that Augsburg striker Ermedin Demirovic is likely to leave the club in the summer as he looks to take the next step in his career.
The Bosnian is expected to cost around €20m as he currently has a contract that is valid until 2026.
Bayern Munich are said to be one of the teams informed of Demirovic’s decision whilst other clubs are also interested. Last summer, Demirovic had attracted interest from Eintracht Frankfurt but the club did not pursue a move.
This season, Demirovic is having his best ever season in the Bundesliga as in 25 games he has scored 14 and assisted eight for Augsburg as they currently sit ninth in the league two points of a potential European spot depending on the result of the DFB-Pokal final.
Demirovic joined Augsburg nearly two years ago from Freiburg in a swap deal for Michael Gregoritsch. In the period since the deal is probably one of the only times a swap deal has worked out for both sides.
