Germany’s preeminent footballing publication reports that EPL side Crystal Palace have reinvigorate their efforts to acquire Bayern defender Chris Richards.

The impending signing of superstar center back Matthijs de Ligt leaves several big names in central defense expendable at German Champions FC Bayern München. Journalist at German footballing magazine Kicker presently report that, in addition to one of the trio of Tanguy Nianzou, Dayot Upamecano, and Benjamin Pavard, the German record champions will almost certainly at least have to hammer out another loan deal for US international Chris Richards.
The endless rumors of potential new destinations for Richards, who has played the last 18 months for Hoffenheim on back-to-back loan stints, quoted somewhat after reliable sources suggested that the FCB wanted €15-20 million for the 22-year-old. Kicker now claims that South London Premiership side Crystal Palace wishes to take advantage of the de Ligt signing and make another swoop for one of their previously targeted players.
Kicker cites its own sources to make the claim, offering no further information about the move at this time. The eight-times-capped USMNT man maintains an estimated market value of €7.5 million in the latest transfermarkt listings.
