Xaver Schlager has outlined the main reasons behind his summer switch from Wolfsburg to RB Leipzig.
“What really won me over is being able to play in the Champions League and for titles. You get the feeling that the whole club is hungry for more,” the Austrian midfielder told Kicker.
“There’s an individual class and squad depth at Leipzig that I haven’t seen in Wolfsburg to the same extent. There are only top players. You can only learn there. The training level is very high, otherwise they wouldn’t be playing at the top of the table.”
‘Die Roten Bullen’ signed Schlager for €12 million.
