Neymar takes aim at PSG and Kylian Mbappé

Former Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar (32) has taken aim at his former club and former teammate Kylian Mbappé (25), liking a post criticising how PSG is run and perceived favouritism towards Kylian Mbappé, reports RMC Sport.

The post, originally in Portuguese, reads as follows:

“PSG is an example of how to run a football club. They managed to assemble the best players and had the best team in the world. When the team started to function well, the ego of a “Certain Frenchman” began to sour the atmosphere. Mbappé began to feel excluded, most of the team spoke Spanish and he threatened to quit. In order to avoid losing it’s crown jewel, PSG started to sell players who were not aligned with Mbappé’s way of thinking and instead signed the French players that he wanted. After the club did everything he wanted, Mbappé told PSG he’d be leaving at the end of the season. This is what is left of PSG.”

Neymar played for the serial French champions for six seasons, making 173 appearances and scoring 118 goals whilst providing 77 assists. Persistent injuries and rumours of discontent as well as clashes of egos blighted the Brazilian’s time in the French capital, leading many to consider his potential unfulfilled, despite his impressive record statistically speaking.

He is now with Saudi Pro League outfit Al Hilal and currently nursing a knee injury, leaving him ample time to aim not so subtle digs at his former club and teammate.
