Real Madrid star Brahim Díaz has provided an insight into his wellbeing, late on Tuesday night.
This, of course, comes fresh off an outing to remember for the Spanish international.
Afforded a starting berth by boss Carlo Ancelotti in the absence of the sidelined Jude Bellingham, Díaz proved himself the hero, en route to a narrow victory over RB Leipzig in the first leg of the Champions League round-of-16.
After picking the ball up on the right wing, the former AC Milan danced his way into the Leipzig penalty area, courtesy of a jinking run.
And Díaz had the finish to match in store, bending an unstoppable effort into the far corner of the hosts’ net:
This proved all she wrote when it came to the goalscoring at the Red Bull Arena, with the 24-year-old, as a result, having been afforded the official Man of the Match trophy post-match.
And yet, speaking to the media on the back of proceedings coming to a close, it was an altogether different subject which took its place front and centre.
This came in the form of Díaz’s fitness.
The midfield creator was forced into a premature departure from the action in Leipzig during the 2nd-half, owing to what appeared to be a muscular concern.
Drawn on as much a short time ago, though, he moved to play the injury down, in explaining:
“My injury? Honestly, I don’t know now. Tomorrow we will do tests and I’m sure it will be nothing.”
