L’Équipe report that French youth international and Angers midfielder Angelo Fulgini will not participate in the Ligue 1 club’s pre-season camp at the Île de Ré, as the 25-year-old’s departure from Le SCO feels more inevitable than ever before.
In January, Bundesliga club Gladbach came inches away from finding a total agreement to sign the player, and they have returned in recent weeks with fresh contacts with both the club and the player.
In Ligue 1, Paulo Fonseca’s Lille have made contact with Angers President Said Chabane about a possible deal.
However, the protagonists this summer for Fulgini have undeniably been Rangers in Scotland, who have submitted multiple formal offers for the player, all of which have been rejected by Angers because they have not met their valuation for Fulgini.
On the Angers side, no definitive final decision has been made on the player – whilst Fulgini has a gentleman’s agreement with Chabane that allows him to exit this summer, Chabane has pulled out of a sale of the midfielder before in previous transfer windows.
