VfL Bochum are in advanced talks to sign 30-year-old centre-back Ivan Ordets from Dynamo Moscow, according to Tief im Westen and Reviersport.

The Ukrainian defender is expected to arrive in Bochum late tonight to complete his move to the Bundesliga club, with a loan deal looking more likely than a permanent transfer.

In any case, Ordets is unlikely to continue his career in Moscow following Russia’s attack on his home country, Ukraine.

The 30-year-old could help fill the void left by the departures of Armel Bella-Kotchap and Maxim Leitsch, who have signed for Southampton and Mainz, respectively.
