According to Sport Bild, there is a possibility that Werder Bremen midfielder Naby Keïta could leave the club in the summer.
Keïta has struggled for game time since joining Bremen in the summer mainly due to his injury pronness and this has restricted him to 80 minutes of football. If the 28-year-old does not improve upon his return from the Africa Cup of Nations then a separation is possible.
There have also previously been reports surrounding Keïta’s conduct which has led other players in the Bremen squad to feel frustrated about the situation.
Bremen are close to completing the signing of Lyon midfielder Skelly Alvero on loan for the remainder of the season. The loan includes a buy option meaning if Alvero impresses at Bremen this could potentially push Keïta out of the door as they would already have a replacement. However, the signing of 6ft 7in midfielder should encourage Keïta to improve his performance.
