For the last few days, Union Berlin have been working on the final details to get the signing of Yorbe Vertessen from PSV over the line before the transfer deadline.

The 23-year-old was reportedly in Berlin yesterday for his medical after the two clubs agreed on a transfer fee of €5 million.

However, according to Eindhovens Dagblad, the deal is now in danger of falling through.

An injury to Noa Lang has left PSV short of options in attack and they are therefore hesitant to let Vertessen complete his move to the German capital.

With the transfer window closing on Thursday, time is running out.
