Josha Vagnoman will move from 2. Bundesliga side Hamburg and join Stuttgart in the top flight, according to Sky Germany.
The 21-year-old defender has long been rumoured to move this summer with Stuttgart being hot favourites to sign him. However, in recent weeks it appeared that talks had come to a standstill.
It did look for a while that HSV were in fact going to keep Vagnoman. Sporting director Jonas Boldt had the backing of the Supervisory Board to not sell Vagnoman, should they wish to keep him.
VfB set Hamburg an ultimatum of accepting their offer, whilst HSV need to sell before signing new players. It’s now reported that the German youth international will join Stuttgart for a fee of around €3.7m as well as 800k in bonuses.
Vagnoman is expected to sign a contract keeping him in Stuttgart until 2026 and will join up with the rest of the squad in Markt Weiler im Allgäu.
