Reigning Serie A champions Napoli seem to set to keep defender Leo Ostigard at the club this month, after rumours linked him with an exit from the club.
Ostigard was initially offered to Genoa in Napoli’s attempt for Radu Dragusin, who later joined Tottenham. Udinese and Torino have also been linked with the defender in recent weeks.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that the ex-Brighton player seems set to stay at the Partenopei this month. This decision from the club has been taken after the 24-year-old impressed for the club in the goalless draw against Lazio yesterday, as Ostigard was highly praised by fans on social media too.
Udinese saw Ostigard as a potential replacement for Nehuen Perez, who seems set to join Napoli. Torino were also interested, as they wanted a temporary replacement for the injured Alessandro Buongiorno. The two clubs have also been interested in Salernitana Matteo Lovato and he could become the prime target, now that Ostigard will stay at Napoli.
