Thomas Tuchel will be forced into making wholesale changes when his Bayern Munich side travel to Augsburg in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon.
On Friday, Bayern confirmed injuries to Dayot Upamecano, Konrad Laimer and Joshua Kimmich, meaning the trio will miss the short trip to Augsburg for the Bavarian derby. As a result, expect to see Eric Dier make his full debut for the Rekordmeister, while Tuchel may opt to switch to a back three.
Aleksander Pavlovic is also expected to return to the starting lineup while Raphael Guerreiro, who dropped to the bench in midweek, should return to the starting eleven, but on the left with Alphonso Davies dropping into a more defensive position.
Don’t expect too much to change in attack with Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sané and Harry Kane all starting.
Bayern Munich’s bench is also short on quality with Thomas Müller, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Mathys Tel the only real options from the bench with the Rekordmeister’s current injury crisis.
Predicted Bayern Munich XI vs Augsburg
Manuel Neuer – Eric Dier, Matthijs de Ligt, Alphonso Davies – Kingsley Coman, Leon Goretzka, Aleksander Pavlovic, Raphael Guerreiro – Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sané, Harry Kane. (Kicker)
