The BMG gaffer nevertheless left open whether or not the recently returned Stefan Lainer might give the USMNT international a needed mental-break this weekend against Leverkusen.
“As is the case after every game, you pick out one or two players to have a chat with,” Seoane remarked, “Joe was one of those players. He was extremely insecure. We had to work on that this week. As a young player, Joe is entirely to have a bad game from time-to-time.”
“He’s been quite consistent in various positions this season,” Seoane continued, “He’s really stabilized physically and is an important player for us. Of course, Stevie [Stefan Lainer] is an option. We have to decide whether he’s ready. He [Lainer] is getting his legs and can hope for his chance soon.”
