Former Juventus frontman Federico Bernardeschi, is reportedly a target for Lazio in the January transfer window.
Sky Italia claims that the 29-year-old, who played under Maurizio Sarri during his spell in charge of the Old Lady, is ready to return to Serie A after leaving in the summer of 2022 to join MLS outfit, Toronto FC.
Bernadeschi’s last game was back in October and the player is reportedly ready to return to his homeland to try to push for a place in Luciano Spalletti’s Italy side at Euro 2024.
The portal claims that Bernardeschi, who would arrive in the Italian capital on a six-month loan deal, is also prepared to take a pay cut to try to get his international career back on track.
The former Juventus and Fiorentina man has made 206 appearances in Italy’s top-flight, scoring 22 goals in the process. He represented the Old Lady under the tutelage of Sarri, in season 2019-20 making 38 appearances.
