Napoli and Nottingham Forest are close to an agreement for Orel Mangala that would see the Belgian midfielder swap the Premier League for Serie A.
According to Il Mattino (via CalcioNapoli24), the Partenopei are keen on securing the 25-year-old on an initial loan deal with a view to making a permanent move in the summer, for a fee reportedly worth €25 million euros. This would depend on Napoli qualifying for next season’s Champions League and should this happen, President Aurelio De Laurentiis is understood to be ready to offer the player a four-year deal at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Mangala has made 20 appearances for Forest this season across all competitions, scoring just once in the Premier League. The two-time European Cup winners are reportedly asking €4 million – €5 million for a four month loan, with the two sides reported to be close to reaching an agreement.
