Bild reports that there are growing doubts at Bayern Munich about head coach Thomas Tuchel in the midst of a fluctuating season with significant lows.

Honorary president and supervisory board member Uli Hoeness is said to be among the doubters, but at the same time he doesn’t want to push the button too soon in the hope of securing more stability at the Bavarian club.

Given that Tuchel was only installed as coach in March as a replacement for Julian Nagelsmann, he’s safe for now, but he needs to show improvement and results to keep Hoeness happy and make sure he doesn’t lose his patience, the report claims.

With Wednesday’s game against Union Berlin in hand, Bayern are second in the Bundesliga, seven points behind Bayer Leverkusen.

The Bavarians qualified safely for the knockout stages of the Champions League, but were sensationally knocked out of the DFB-Pokal in the second round by third-division Saarbrücken.
