Last Friday’s cancelled round 18 encounter between FSV Mainz 05 and 1. FC Union has been officially re-scheduled for Wednesday, February 7th.

The second postponed Bundesliga fixture of the current 2023/24 campaign has been rescheduled for a mid-week make-up. FC Union Berlin’s trip to Mainz will be played on Wednesday, February 7th. An early 18:30 kickoff time shall be broadcast by German streaming service DAZN, as was originally intended for the Friday match. The two relegation candidates will both need to contend with an “Englischer Woche”.
Union have to date only played 16 of 18 Bundesliga fixtures. Nenad Bjelica’s Eisernen still have the make-up match against FC Bayern München from early December to play. The postponed match-day 13 encounter is scheduled to kick-off this coming Wednesday at the Allianz. Bayern will be hoping to rebound quickly from a shock league defeat to Bremen over the weekend.
