Dani Olmo is pushing for a return to RB Leipzig’s starting lineup after fighting his way back from a shoulder injury.
Asked about the possibility of Olmo starting against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose told reporters at the pre-match press conference:
“[The chance] is there. An extra week of training in the legs means more playing time.
“You don’t get many players that have the quality he has, even in the top European leagues. He’s an extraordinary footballer who’s unbelievably talented.
“Dani has the ability to dictate games and can single-handedly decide them. In addition to his quality as a player, his great character also makes him stand out. He’s fun on and off the pitch.
“We’re happy that he managed to make his comeback against Frankfurt. He’s massively important to the team and to the club.”
