The powers that be at Real Madrid have today closed a deal for yet another interesting addition to the club’s burgeoning youth ranks.
The player all set to take his talents to the Spanish capital? Jeremy de León.
De León, for his part, is a talented 19-year-old attacker, who is currently plying his trade in the third tier of Spanish football, with Castellón.
A right winger by trade, the Puerto Rican is also capable of lining out on the left, or even in a more central role behind the striker.
De León’s abilities had long caught the eye of some of La Liga’s biggest clubs, with the likes of Valencia and Villarreal having been keeping a close eye on his situation.
As alluded to above, though, such clubs, it would appear, have now missed out.
As per a report from Relevo, ‘Jeremy de León will be a new Real Madrid player’.
This comes after Los Blancos struck a deal with their counterparts at Castellón, to bring the youngster to Madrid with immediate effect.
The cost of the operation is expected to be minimal, with De León having allowed his contract to wind down ahead of the summer, fully intent on making his Real dream come true.
The San Juan native is expected to put pen to paper on terms with his new employers over the coming days, before linking up with Raúl González’s Castilla outfit.
