Gulde pens new Freiburg contract

Manuel Gulde has put pen to paper on a new contract with SC Freiburg.

The extension was announced on Friday by the Bundesliga outfit, who did not disclose the length of the new deal.

“Manuel is a constant in our team and has demonstrated that he’s dependable, not least in the last few games,” said chief sporting officer Jochen Saier, who added:

“The fact that he’s been at the club for so long shows that there’s a mutual appreciation and we’re happy that a quality player like Manuel has decided to stay with us.”

32-year-old Gulde, who has played for Freiburg since 2016, stated:

“In my eight years at Freiburg, I’ve noticed that here is the right place for me and that I can continue to help the team out. After spending such a long time at the club, we didn’t really need to discuss the mutual trust we have for each other off the pitch. That’s why I’m happy to have signed a contract extension. I’ll continue to give my all for the club.”
