Borussia Mönchengladbach are sweating over the fitness of Manu Koné and Alassane Pléa for Sunday’s Bundesliga clash with Augsburg.
“We will make a decision about Manu Koné and Alassane Plea after the final training session,” Gladbach coach Gerardo Seoane said at his pre-match press conference on Friday.
Plea, who injured his ankle in last week’s 3-1 win over Stuttgart, has been training individually this week but took part in parts of Gladbach’s team training on Friday. The same goes for Koné, who has been struggling with a hamstring problem.
Gladbach will definitely be without Julian Weigl, who’s suspended, and Maximilian Wöber, who’s out with an infection.
Ko Itakura (international duty), Jonas Omlin (shoulder) and Lukas Ullrich (shoulder) are also unavailable.
